Hello parents, families and students!
Welcome to a new school year! I am so happy to be starting my third year teaching at Irving School. I am both honored and humbled to be a part of your child's music education! This site will direct you to special information that I have for each of the grade levels! Some of that information might include recordings and song lyrics for students to practice, exciting things happening in the music classroom and maybe even some live performances!

All Kindergarten classes- "Spring Show!"  Friday, May 16 at 12:00 p.m. in the Irving Gym. This is a Brown Bag concert, so you can view the show and then eat with your Kindergartener following the performance!

All performances above are held in the Music Room, with the exception of the Kindergarten program on May 16th. Remember, additional parking is available in the Flora Pool Parking lot! 4th & 5th Holiday Concert on December 12th!

The 4th & 5th graders will be presenting their holiday concert, "A Holiday of Music!" We hope you can join us for this fun event. The concert begins at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the Irving Gym. Students should report to their classrooms at 5:45. The doors will open for everyone at 5:45.  Students are encouraged to dress in holiday attire! Hope to see you then!

Fall Concert for 1st graders!

That's right! It is concert week! The First Graders will be presenting their Fall Concert on Thursday, Oct. 17th at 12:00 p.m. This concert is part of a Brown-bag luncheon for parents and families to enjoy!  The concert will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by an opportunity for students and parents to enjoy lunch together. It should be great fun!  Hope to see you all there!

Hot! Hot! Hot!

This weather has taken its toll on music classes...especially the Kindergarten and First Grade classes! We hope it will cool down soon and we can get back to music fun in the afternoon! Students in all the grade levels will be having fun with many of the new instruments purchased this summer! Thanks to Mrs. Meehan's help, we are working on improving our stock of percussion instruments at Irving. Many are worn and tattered and are needing replacing. We have a good start on this process!
